God is an awesome God

This is the day that the Lord has made, will you rejoice with me and be glad in it?  God is an awesome God that ALWAYS is looking out for our best interest.  Sometimes that is difficult for us to see, and yet we trust Him.  We trust HIS plan for our lives.  Do not ever forget that He is the one who gave us life.  This also reminds me of a song, "soon and very soon we are going to see the King!"  No matter what is going on in your life, soon and very soon things are going to get eternally better.

Love,

Bro. Tim

It's that time of year again

This time of year, it is pretty often you hear someone say "are you ready for some football?"  It is definitely football season, no one knows that anymore than me, but the more relevant question this year might be are you ready for the Lord to come back?  All of my life, I have heard pastors talking about end times....and even though most of the signs were there, it seemed a little far fetched for me to think that the Lord would come then.  Matthew 24 teaches us that there will be wars and rumors of wars....that there will be earthquakes....there will be deceivers...the list could go on and on.  The real question that needs to be answered is have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?  If you have not done that, then you are not ready.

Love you all,

Bro. Tim

Prayer

Sometimes we get so consumed in our own lives that we get to feeling sorry for ourselves, and cannot or do not take time to help someone else that is hurting or in need.  We don't pray for them, we don't encourage them, we just worry about ourselves.  I want you to know that God is not glorified at all in this type of behavior.  He wants us to love one another, to care for one another, to lift one another up in prayer.  In the book of James it teaches us that "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."  Are you praying for someone else?  If not, why not?

L.I.F.T REVIVAL

Here we are two weeks away from our revival! This is a time we have set aside to refresh, renew our walk with the Lord.  I'm excited to see whatever it is that the Lord has in store for us!  Please be in prayer for Bro. Kitchens that the Lord would use him in a mighty way right here in Mena, AR.  If you are visiting with us today, we hope you'll make yourself right at home.

Love you all,

Bro. Tim

Are you Thirsty?

I just want to say thank you to the church for allowing me to go on vacation, and how much I appreciate Bro. Anthony Kennedy for filling in for me, as well as Bro. Townsley for teaching my Wednesday night class.  We had a great time, and our so excited about our upcoming revival.  I want to encourage each of you to try and have the heart and eyes of Jesus over the next few weeks.  Let's try and look at others the way Jesus would. The Bible teaches us that he would go out of His way to show love and compassion to someone.  I always think of the woman at the well, someone in Mena, Arkansas right now is thirsty will you lead them to the well?  The one with everlasting water....Jesus?  The only way you, or I can do it is with the heart and eyes of Jesus.  Let's look to love others intentionally so that the might come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Bro. Tim
