What a mighty God we serve!

What a mighty God we serve, we serve a God that is able!  I can't speak for everyone, but that is always one of the most frustrating things for me.  When I realize how unable I am, sometimes you might see a need, see some sort of suffering, some injustice.  My heart hurts for the situation, but sometimes I don't have the financial ability, the medical knowledge, or whatever is needed to truly help.  That is sad, because it is kind of numbing, instead of doing what we can no matter how small, we grow to a point where we do nothing at all.  I feel that this is where a lot of Christians are today.  We feel that we are too small, too insignificant, that our little bit isn't enough to really help.  I want you to know this morning, that we serve a God that is ABLE!  He is able to speak our rescue, He is able to feed the thousands, He is able to fix all that ails us, but praise God this morning He is able to return and take us to our eternal abode.  God bless you all this morning.

Pastor's Words May 15, 2016

"Life is all beginnings and ends. Nothing stays the same…"Bryce Courtenay

Never in my life, have I ever quite felt the way I do today.  It seems like just the other day that Amanda and I let our little girl walk into Ms. Linda Geisler's class to start kindergarten in 2003. Here we are 13 years later, and today we will watch her walk across a stage to get her high school diploma.  To say that Amanda is a basket case would be an understatement....you guys need to pray for her.  I'm not sure she is going to make it.  OK, its not her you need to be praying for....it's me.  I am a little overwhelmed by the brevity of it all.  In my mind, she should probably be in the 3rd grade, but in God's timing it is time for her to start making her mark in this world we live in.  You see we only get one life...what we do with it is up to us.  Will we live it for the Lord?  Will we choose to live a life that has significance?  Will we leave our mark?

99.9% of the decisions we make in life, we make with our brain.  However, there are some decisions in life that we make with our heart.  Proverbs 23:7 states "so as a man thinketh in HIS HEART, so is he. Romans teaches that it is with the heart that we can believe and be saved.  The choice to "leave a mark"  for Christ is a decision that is made in the heart.

God bless you all, and let's leave a mark for Christ!
