I will praise you in the storm

What an awesome God we serve!

This week has been one of many ups and downs for our church family.  We have had several members from our youngest to eldest in the hospital very sick.  We just like the disciples in Mark 4:37, sometimes can experience unexpected storms.  Storms that pop up out of nowhere and rock us at our very core.  We are fearful and worried.  Sometimes, God allows us to go through the storm for a while, when at other times He takes care of it immediately.  The disciples were upset that "he slept"  yet we see that when our God, our Savior speaks even the winds and seas obey His voice.  Have you called upon our God today?  Are you experiencing a storm that may seem insurmountable?  Call on the name of our amazing God!

Love you all,

Bro. Tim

What a wonderful Savior we have!

As we begin to approach Resurrection Sunday, I pray we never lose sight of the awful cost of our salvation.  The consequence of our sin, the penalty of sin ALL nailed to the cross because of His great love for us!  We did not earn it, we could not deserve it, we only have it because of His amazing grace!  What a wonderful Savior we have.  I pray He is your Savior today, and if He is not.  I pray that you will heed the call of the Holy Spirit and accept Jesus today!

God bless you for being here with us!

Love you all,

Bro. Tim

"I Ain't as Good as I Once Was"

Country singer Toby Keith has an old song titled, "I Ain't as Good as I Once Was".  I found that out the hard way this week working out with my players a little bit.  Emphasis on little bit...physically we are born to die.  As we age our bodies begin to slow down, we find out that things we used to could do no problem are now seemingly impossible.  Isn't that SO sad?

Well, let me tell you something that is SO awesome!  When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior we do just the opposite.  Things that used to seem impossible get easier and easier, like learning how to say no to things that used to tempt us...Hallelujah!  Instead of dying, we are born again only to live forever!  Isn't God good?

Toby Keith may have it right in this old world, but in Heaven I'm going to be so much better...How bout you?

Love you all,

Bro. Tim

Are you to busy?

I don't know about you, but it looks like to me that the world we live in now is busier than it has ever been.  The question that comes to my mind is are we busy doing the things of God or things of man?  You see we create our own "busy". We will find ourselves so busy that we accomplish nothing of significance.  God wants us to be significant.  He wants us to be a footnote in others salvation.  He wants us to be faithful, loving companions to our spouses.  He desires for us to raise our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  He then has a plan that is for our good, whether it be in this life or the next I don't know, all I can say is it is for our good.

As the philosopher Goethe put it, ‘Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.

You can tell people’s priorities by how they spend their time.

I think the saddest thing in the world would be to reach old age and look back at my life and feel nothing but regret about what I did or did not do. Wisdom helps us make choices now that we will be happy with later.’
Love you all,

Bro. Tim

Team Work

Team....I never really thought about it, but that is exactly what OUR church is.  Thank you to each and everyone of you who stood in the gap this week to help someone else from a funeral, to emergency room visits, to doctor's office trips to Ft. Smith, to frying fish and hush puppies.... You name it and this church did it, and what's most important is you did it out of love for the Lord and each other.

I love you guys!
